1 Tool Away from Improving Your Cognitive Skills

Wonder why some of your friends are faster at grasping concepts in class?

Earlier we shared 5 ways to improve your critical thinking.

Likewise, we will share the secret of being the fastest learner in class.

Time to put your ThinkTacap  on.

Now you must have figured that cognition is merely a reference to memory-ability to comprehend new information, speech and written notes.

What builds your cognitive skills?

We are constantly in touch with our surroundings, physically and mentally.

When you are sitting in class distracted, it’s because the learning experience is not able to grab your attention, instead wanting to figure out what the other student outside your classroom is doing seems more fun.

You may notice that I highlighted learning experience;simply to help you understand why being distracted seemed like a better idea.

For instance, the other kid standing outside your class filling his water bottle and then ending up spilling it all over him by mistake, made you laugh.

He grabbed your attention by the activity he was performing. You may have observed how the water was filling up the bottle and the process of mishandling the object (water bottle).

Now you are willing to share that with your friend, right? You tell your friend in detail what happened and how silly or embarrassing it must have been for that kid.

Fun Fact: If you recall such an incident, you do have a great cognitive memory.

Learning The Important

Wouldn’t your class been more fun if you had an experiential tool to  practically show you what magnetic forces do?

They can definitely make a frog jump. Yes, try it for yourself and be the whiz kid of class that you are.

Don’t forget to share the cool trick with your friends and teacher too. After all, interacting with people and remembering their face is part of improving your cognitive skills.

Therefore,  choosing any one experiential tool that can help you understand a concept will not only improve your cognitive skills but also enhance your knowledge and passion for Science.

Don’t forget to share your innovations with us at bit.ly/2ElCHxj.

Road To Innovation

The young India needs to adopt the same approach and enthusiasm like they did for #HumFitTohIndiaFit Challenge, by supporting our country’s “Future Ready” vision.

You may be wondering that the Fitness challenge was endorsed by A-list celebrities and personalities, in order to successfully spread the message.

Then how can YOU make a difference?

Let’s not forget that you have the eye as you are the reason why the Influencers are able to influence us, in the first place.

Be the Influencer

There may be no shortcuts to success, however walking on the footsteps of the renowned Scientist, Albert Einstein, may certainly lead you to your destination.

“The true sign of intelligence is not

knowledge but imagination.”

-Albert Einstein

Final Destination

Don’t worry, it’s not as stressful as the movie.

Raman Search Institute Trust and ISPF (Innovation and Science Promotion Fund) institutes Raman Young Science Innovator (RYSI) award year after year because we can’t get enough of the young minds taking over the world.

Today’s science is tomorrow’s technology.

If you think your child has it in you to contribute to his/her Nation and receive the much awaited recognition in the field of Science. Sign them up, now.

Your child’s imagination, can be India’s biggest innovation.

Last time we embraced 8500 registrations from all over India (including rural areas), and 1700 submissions.

There were 114 finalists contributing to the success of these events and motivating us to serve as stepping stones for a developed passion for Science.

Walk this path with your child and see the sparkle in their eyes when they realize that sky is the limit.

The Secret to Unleash Your Inner Science Maestro!

Can You Master Science Like Never Before?

“Curvilinear motion is defined as a motion that occurs when a particle travels along a curved path, which can be in two dimensions (in a plane), or in three dimensions. This type of motion is more complex than rectilinear (straight-line) motion”

Is science giving you a hard time? Well, what if I told you that you could fall in love with this incomprehensible subject?

Back in fourth grade, remember when we were learning about how sound waves are transmitted and we made that device with two cups and a string?

Not only did that make me feel like Graham Bell; but that experiment, it stuck with me. In fact every time I backed up a theory with a practical experiment it really got ingrained in my system.

But then, what did I do differently?

Presenting to you, experiential learning. The practice of learning something by actively doing it and then reflecting upon it. The reason experiential learning is so implementable in scientific study is that it imparts qualities onto its learners.

Qualities like logical thinking, critical reasoning and making keen observations. It helps students unlearn and reorder the conception of any topic, leaving no room for dull, lifeless and rote learning approaches.

Hands-on examples, further benefit traditional science learning as they provide an industry relatable experience.

Once the learning outcomes of any topic are established, they can be implemented through various experiential disciplines.

Take it Home

Remember the first paragraph on Curvilinear Motion that needed Alan-Turing-like deciphering skills? Well, it can be broken down into the simplest way – using household items like binding wire and springs through experiential learning.

This video by ThinkTac shows you how:

So, are you ready to get your hands dirty and redefine the phrase “rocket science”?

If yes, you might want to subscribe to ThinkTac. Not only does it have the best experiential learning DIY kits and tools but it also has videos that teach you the how-to-dos.

You think you got it in you to create experiments like these? Well enrolling into

this competition is what You need to do then!

Are We Losing The Elon Musk In Us?

Let your child be the superhero he admires.

Science for Kids

Youngsters are brought into the world with a characteristic inclination to learn.

From that point on, they set out on the adventure of revelation dallying with their environment, forming circumstances to their benefit and making the most inventive inquiries.

Science is a programme already embedded in our mind.

Wonder HOW?

These youthful personalities are inventive and their paper watercraft, sand palaces, conceptual illustrations and sketchy recreations are outlets of the imaginative limits in them.

It is through this experiential cooperation with the world that they start to innovate. Science, thus, originates from this; it is intrinsic, alive and continually developing.

“Science is not only a discipline of reason but also one of romance and passion.”

-Steven Hawking

As children grow up, they forget the superpowers that they possess – if one can dream it, one can make it.

Maybe that’s why India is stagnant. I know I have given you a lot of Hows to ponder upon but if not now, then when?

India was incidentally one of the very first countries to catch up with the post-Industrial-revolution era.

The same nation today, is in the fight to become a scientific superpower.

Is the competition real?

The Indian Intelligentsia believes that the citizens of this nation are caught in a vicious cycle of mediocrity, and this is a cliché.

Additionally, increasingly slender career pyramids are forcing students to engage in a rat race to be the cherry atop a terrible cake.

Hence, it is tough to opt to be a Scientist when we are past adolescence as our minds have now been conditioned to believe that Science is about endless digits and out-of-the-box research work 24/7.

You ask WHY?

Education is aligning to a ‘one size fits all’ approach that is depriving students of exploring the concepts at a real-time avenue, Hence, resulting in a tumbledown passion for science.

Thus, making your child forget how to use his/her superpowers.

Solution

  1. The solutions are infinite at ThinkTac. You can get your little munchkin started with his/her very own experiential tools to start building up the superhero suit.

After all, Spider-Man, Superman, Superwoman and Batman have one.

  1. You can also enrol them in an always-fun course because we are not limited to using blackboards. We encourage discussions and welcome innovations.

The study of science and maths are originally like games with rules but no objectives and that is essentially how they must be revised.

If you think your superhero already has it in him/her to save the world with his/her innovative ideas and win rewards, then you can sign up for the last biggest event of 2018.

Let the New Year be a new milestone for your child!
